Arden Courts was created exclusively for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Every Arden Courts features an open floor plan designed to encourage interaction and independence. Our staff receives extensive, ongoing training and education. Their expertise is utilized in creating special programming, engagement therapy, teaching life skills and making a difference in the life of your loved one. All private with private half bathrooms. Our entire community is secure. We have secure courtyards and walking paths (over a quarter mile of outdoor paths).
Programming concentrates on meeting residents’ unique needs, promoting their independence and individuality, and enhancing their health and spiritual well-being. It varies to fulfill a variety of purposes and is appropriately timed so that residents can lead as close to normal a life as possible. All programming is planned and supervised by trained professionals, 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Entire building is a secured memory care community.
Because individuals living with cognitive impairment are at a greater risk of nutritional issues, great care is taken in the selection, preparation and delivery of meals and snacks. And because people living with dementia often have a reduced sense of taste and smell, care is taken to prepare appealing meals. Menus are formulated by dietary experts that are rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, recognizable foods and comfort foods, and popular ethnic foods. We also accommodate special diets; pureed, mechanical soft, and different liquid consistencies. Snacks and drinks are always out and available.
Arden Courts were completely designed with memory care in mind (all types of dementia). 5 years of research and design went into the development of Arden Courts before the first building was built. Over 20 years now of providing memory care for our residents.
